Carlie Ballard

Escape Shorts - Rose Gingham & Rose Ikat - size 10

Sale price Price $99.00 Regular price $139.00

The Escape Shorts are the ultimate comfy, wide-leg short for every Summer day. Featuring a paperbag-style drawstring waist and faux fly.

This new thick cream fabric is a dream - a natural yet classy colour featuring subtle brown flecks through the weave. I honestly never thought I could get away with cream shorts (#mumlife) but these are perfection!

Fabulous worn oversized. If you’re between sizes or like a less-baggy fit we recommend sizing down.

Please note, we don't have a pic of the sage green yet, but they're the same colour/fabric the tank in the piccy below.

  • Made from 100% handwoven cotton
  • Fabric woven and garment sewn in India.
  • True to size. We recommend sizing down if you’re in between sizes (although this entirely depends on the type of fit you prefer. I'm a 10-12 and can wear both comfortably - I just get a little more width through the leg with the 12.)
Product Care

About Carlie Ballard

Carlie Ballard is an incredibly-transparent Australian fashion brand advocating for ethical and sustainable practices, and quality, independent design. Carlie, based in New South Wales, is a founding director of the Clean Cut Fashion Association, Australia’s ethical and sustainable fashion association.

Carlie’s collections are trans-seasonal, easy to wear, and exceptionally tailored. Each garment is made using individually dyed yarns and traditional wooden hand looms, powered by master artisans in Southern India. You can feel and see the love and artistry in each piece.

Garments are sewn in a small NGO workshop in Lucknow India, which provides training, excellent working conditions and fair pay to the women it employs.

Carlie Ballard is also a low-waste brand. She avoids the use of unnecessary hardware, uses all biodegradable packaging and orders small quantities of fabric at a time, minimising fabric waste and often making to order (for businesses like us!).
